Price on request – Sometimes we publish jewellery on the site that is only available to order; often photos and details of the jewellery you see are published as a historical reference of our 50+ years of activity for future orders. We almost always do not publish prices due to the ever-changing costs of precious metals and stones; you can ask us if the jewellery you have seen is available and we will reply in a short time for an estimate. This type of moor seems to have originated in the Near East, worn by women on their ears. The continuous contacts of seafarers with eastern lands for their trade contributed to introduce, even in Rijeka, and later in Venice, the Moorish-headed earrings. It probably happened before Rijeka was
settled in Rijeka, after more or less bloody battles, the Venetian Republic (May 1508). The Moors, like the ones reproduced here, had the shape of the Moor’s head with a Muslim turban, in gold and enamel, and soon conquered the entire coast of Dalmatia. It was only later that the crescent moon and star, referring to the rule of the Turks, was applied to some models.
Today, workshops that make them are very rare.
