Janus Roman-Italic deity, the oldest of the national gods, the indigetes, also invoked together with Iuppiter. God of beginnings, material and immaterial, God of the morning, one of the oldest important deities of Roman, Latin and Italic religion. He is depicted with two faces, the God can look into the future and into the past, but also because, being the God of the door, he can look both inside and outside.
