Pin jacket Duchy Ducato

Jacket pin faithful replica in 24kt gold-plated 925 silver of a Ducato, diameter 21 mm the famous Venetian coin which later became a sequin minted by the Serenissima republic for 500 years. The Ducato used to make this brooch was minted in 1284 by Doge Giovanni Dandolo (1280-1288); it later took the name of zecchino. On the obverse it presents the Doge kneeling before Saint Mark and on the reverse Jesus Christ inside the “mandorla” and the inscription Sit tibi Christe datus quem tu regis iste ducatus.
